What stays on your devices

Your provider tokens and keys are stored in the Keychain on your device. Widget settings and health-check definitions sync between your Macs through your own iCloud account (CloudKit); we cannot read them. There is no SquawkBar account.

What our server stores (push alerts)

If you turn on push alerts (SquawkBar Pro), the app sends our server the minimum needed to check your services while your devices are asleep: your device’s push token, the tokens or keys for the services you chose to watch, which projects to watch, and your health-check URLs. Provider tokens are encrypted at rest and are used only to read status. Delete a connection in the app and it is removed from our server on the next sync. Health-check URLs are requested from our servers, so only public addresses can be checked.

What we collect

We do not collect advertising identifiers, do not track you across other apps or websites, and do not sell data. The content of your connected services is not stored; we read status and summary counts only.

Third parties

Requests to Vercel, Netlify, Railway, Render, Supabase, Google/Firebase, Cloudflare, Sentry, PostHog, Linear, GitHub, Slack and Discord go to those companies under their own privacy policies. Push delivery uses Apple’s Push Notification service. Subscriptions are handled by Apple.

Your choices

Disconnect any service in the app at any time, revoke its token at the provider, or turn off push alerts to stop server-side checks. To ask about or delete data we hold, contact hello@squawkbar.app.
